Hokkaido is northernmost island and northern part of mainland called 'Tohoku'.
Hokkaido is known for ski resorts where powder snow lovers get together in winter.
It is also known for the best outdooor field such as rafting and mountain biking.
Tohoku is the least developed area in Japan where you can find many remote hotspings and rural traditions.
